Description

Designed by custom knife maker Dmitry Osarenko (D.O.C.K), The October features a well thought out profile - fitment in the hand feels natural and the forward blade choil allow you to choke up tight on the cutting edge for precision cutting work. The refined flipper tab is non protruding and stays out of the way when cutting down to make better use of the razor sharp 20-CV blade edge. It also allows it to be flicked open similar to a front flipper as well as a traditional flipper tab method and on top of this, the blade has a thumb hole cut out for thumb or middle finger flick deployment.

CPM 20-CV is one of the best steels for retaining an edge. This is due to the higher percentage of vanadium in this steel which creates a fine grain structure to better hold an edge. This mean sharpening will be required less frequently and you'll hold that razor edge for longer. The high performance of this blade steel certainly justifies its higher price. 

The October D.O.C.K. is a tough, versatile and high end EDC knife with a great design and high quality components including a smooth ball bearing pivot and premium Micarta scales that offer exceptional grip. The fit and finish is top notch, as we've come to expect from Kizer knives.

Excellent deployment and ergonomics

I have the October in red Micarta and with a stonewashed CPM-20CV blade. It’s all round excellent in terms of materials, action, and ergonomics. It deploys so easily via a middle finger flick using the small but effective opening hole in the fuller and via the streamlined flipper tab. Closing the knife after use is quick because of the ease of access to the lock bar due to the relief in the scale on that side. The Micarta has a soft, comfortable feeling that helps make use pleasurable. The handle is well designed and feels good both in a “normal” grip, as well as a more choked up grip, using the blade’s finger choil. I’m very happy with this new knife and the service provided by Mitch and Adventure Carry.
